It is worthwhile to note that both the Dell and Lenovo use the same Intel chipset, and my guess is it probably uses very similar PXE boot code across the two laptops, as it is such a low-level routine, probably supplied by Intel, and it wouldn't necessarily need to be highly customized by the vendor.
